Renting has changed. The systems supporting it have not.

More households share financial obligations than ever. But digital financial products generally remain structured around individuals, and property systems focus on the tenancy itself, not the people inside it. Rolle coordinates the space between those systems.

A growing issue

The problem is bigger than just splitting bills.

Shared households have different people, paydays and responsibilities, but the same things to pay.

Without Rolle

  • Rent
  • Bills
  • Bank transfers
  • Group chats
  • Spreadsheets
  • Different paydays

One person coordinates everything.

With Rolle

  • One household obligation
  • One shared view
  • Agreed shares
  • Automatic reminders
  • Contribution tracking
  • Rolle coordinating

The household moves together.

Transactions

Built around the household.

Rolle starts with rent and household bills because they are the obligations households have to meet again and again. Over time, the same model can help coordinate more of the financial responsibilities that come with living together.

One obligation. Different people. One coordinated outcome.

Maya on Payday, Alex on Weekly and Celeste on Round-ups, all contributing towards one household obligation of £2,150 for October rent.

How we think

Renter-first by design.

Everyone should know their part

Shared costs should be clear without one person having to manage everyone else.

Different people manage money differently

A shared household should not require everyone to budget in exactly the same way.

Shared responsibility does not mean shared privacy

Housemates should be able to coordinate household money without exposing private financial information they do not need to see.

Support should help people stay on track

Financial tools should help renters meet existing obligations, not encourage unnecessary spending or borrowing.

Sensitive financial capabilities sit with the appropriate infrastructure rather than being recreated inside Rolle. As Rolle moves through commercial onboarding, this page will identify those providers and their roles clearly.

Server-side validation

Less household admin.

Rolle is designed to remove the invisible work that sits behind shared rent and bills.

The household should not need a finance manager just because people live together.

Without Rolle

  • Who has paid?
  • How much do I owe?
  • Can you send that over?
  • When is the bill due?
  • Has everyone transferred?

With Rolle

  • Agreed shares
  • Household progress
  • Upcoming costs
  • Contribution status
  • One shared view

Smart systems

Built for the realities of modern renting.

Households change. Bills change. People move. Paydays differ. Sometimes plans change halfway through the month. Rolle is being designed around that reality rather than assuming every household behaves the same way forever.

Automated management

  • New household
  • Shares agreed
  • Contributions underway
  • Bill changes
  • Housemate moves
  • Household adjusts

Getting started

Starting with rent and bills.

Rolle starts with the recurring obligations households have to meet month after month. The same approach can ultimately help households coordinate more of the financial responsibilities that come with living together.

Over time, the aim is to make it easier for households to coordinate the wider financial responsibilities that come with living together.

  • Monthly RentMade up of coordinated contributions
  • Repeat and One-off billsAll shared and tracked within the system
  • Shared Household ObligationsOutgoings combined and displayed for the broader picture.
The Rolle rent screen: £2,587.17 remaining of £2,850, Maya's 25% share and the split breakdown across the household.

Our company

Why we're building Rolle

Shared renting creates a lot of invisible financial admin. One person often ends up keeping track of who owes what, chasing transfers and making sure rent and bills are covered. Rolle is being built to take that coordination out of the household and into a system designed for it.

We're building the product alongside the payment, Open Banking and regulated financial infrastructure it will rely on, so the experience and the systems behind it are designed together.
