Our approach
Rolle is being designed with accessibility considered from the outset. We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the target for the Rolle website and, as the product develops, for relevant digital product experiences.
1. Accessibility at Rolle
Rolle should work for as many people as possible. We are designing our website and product to be clear, understandable and usable by people with different access needs, including people who use assistive technologies.
Accessibility is part of our design and development process rather than something we intend to add only after launch.
2. Our accessibility target
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our target standard for the Rolle website.
The website is still being developed and has not yet completed a full independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not currently claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.
3. What we are designing for
Our accessibility work includes consideration of:
- keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus;
- screen-reader compatibility and meaningful page structure;
- sufficient colour contrast;
- text that can be resized without losing essential content or functionality;
- clear headings, labels and instructions;
- form fields with understandable labels and error messages;
- not relying on colour alone to communicate important information;
- responsive layouts that work across different screen sizes and zoom levels;
- clear link and button wording;
- appropriate alternative text for meaningful images;
- reduced-motion considerations where animation or motion is used; and
- plain, understandable language wherever possible.
4. Website and future Rolle product
This statement currently applies to paybyrolle.com. As the Rolle app and other digital services move towards live market use, we intend to extend the same accessibility approach to those experiences and update this statement where appropriate.
5. Third-party content and services
Some parts of the Rolle experience may link to or rely on services provided by third parties. We may not control the accessibility of those third-party services, but we will take accessibility into account when selecting and integrating services where it is reasonably possible to do so.
6. If something is difficult to access
If you find part of the Rolle website difficult to access or use, please tell us. It is helpful if you include the page or feature you were using, what went wrong and, if you are comfortable doing so, the browser, device or assistive technology involved.
You can contact us through paybyrolle.com/contact.
We will review accessibility feedback and, where reasonably possible, use it to improve the experience or provide the information in another accessible format.
7. Ongoing review
We expect Rolle to change as the website and product develop. We will review this Accessibility Statement as the service evolves and after significant accessibility testing or changes to relevant standards.
